Common questions
How much does it cost to paint a room or a house?
It depends on size, condition, and how much prep and repair is needed, which is why we come out and look first. Estimates are always free, and you'll have a written, itemized quote within 24–48 hours of our visit.
Why do painting quotes vary so much?
A lower price usually means something is being left out: prep, repairs, quality paint, insurance, or someone standing behind the work afterward. We're not the cheapest painter in town, and we don't try to be. Our quotes include the prep that makes paint last, a properly insured crew, clear communication, and a 2-year workmanship guarantee. We'll always show you exactly what's included so you can compare fairly.
Are you licensed and insured?
Illinois doesn't issue a statewide painting license, so insurance is what really protects you. We carry general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and we're happy to send a certificate of insurance on request.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes. We offer a 2-year workmanship guarantee on our standard work. If something fails because of how we applied it, we'll fix it. A few exceptions, like jobs where the customer asks for reduced prep, are spelled out in writing before we start.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Not the whole time. We'd like you there for a quick walk-around on day one and for the final walkthrough. In between, a key, keypad code, or garage opener works fine, and we'll keep you updated every day.
When can you paint exteriors in Central Illinois?
Exterior season usually runs from spring through fall, whenever temperatures and weather allow paint to cure properly. Interior work happens year-round, and winter is a great time to get on the schedule quickly.
Can you fix drywall, trim, or siding before painting?
Yes, and it's one of the things customers like most. We handle drywall repair, rotted trim, siding repairs, and other small fixes ourselves, so you don't need a separate handyman.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, Venmo, and credit cards. Larger projects may use progress payments, which are always spelled out in your written quote.
